GRATITUDE
An Air of Appreciation
A haiku as an attitude of gratitude

Try this with me, please I am grateful for your life That wasn’t so hard!
The art of being grateful, of appreciating another human being just for being human doesn’t really take that much effort, but it is a discipline worth developing if it’s not something you already practice. The reward for a grateful heart is an unparalleled valuing of the self.
I am not a materially wealthy person and yet I am and I have enough. Not that I haven’t chased my fair share of objects, both shiny and dull. I have found the spirit of humility in the enoughness of life and the gratitude and appreciation for those with whom I have been fortunate enough to meet and to know.
Often, a simple word or gesture of appreciation is a price and a payment for what is freely bestowed upon me or exchanged with me or shared with me on the landscape of this life on planet Earth.
I have much to appreciate and I hope and trust my appreciation will never end because it is the food, the sustenance, and the light of living a truly good life, especially when it seems like this life has nothing left to give.
