An Act Of Kindness In An Unforgiving World

My 9-year-old beagle, Ralph, passed away from bone cancer a few weeks ago. So, to honor him, I made a donation in his name to the local animal shelter.

Although I wasn’t ready to get another dog, I got two from the shelter to bring home. I just had to do it.

I noticed there was a woman, in her 50s, playing with many dogs in a special area. I thought she was a staff member. But, she takes time from her day to play with animals who have no one else in the world.

This woman has adopted up to 15 dogs from the shelter. She can take no more.

I should mention that the dogs she plays with have less than 12 hours to live. She says she wants to give them one last bit of love they never received from an unforgiving world.

Please, if you can, donate to an animal shelter and adopt. Save a life. Please.
