American GOP Is Going Full Fascist on Everyone They Can’t Handle
…as the whole world watches in disbelief
Gays, trans, drags, women, books. What do they all have in common?
One very important thing: republicans hate them. And they want to see them die. Whether that’s through stripping away their rights and beating their spirit into a pulp, refusing health care, taking away the autonomy over their own bodies, banning, or even burning.
Yes, burning. Like in the burning of books. Or burning of witches.
Last week Republicans went medieval on a whole batch of witches that were trying to fool everyone by posing as marginalized groups, but luckily for Americans everywhere, they weren’t fooling the vengeful eye of the GOP.
Apparently, it’s these groups who are threatening the very fiber of American society and they need to be stopped. Makes you wonder about that fiber, doesn’t it?
Here are some examples of the witch hunt.
Because apparently women who don’t have babies against their will need to be stopped. It reminded me of this T-shirt that said “Elon Breed Me Daddy”. I found it horrific, but I guess I was way off. This is a thing now.
Because people who publicly commit and declare their love for each other are dangerous.
Because children and healthcare don’t go together.
Because whoever wears clothes designed for another gender doesn’t deserve to be healthy.
Because whoever makes GOP sick to their stomach deserves to be sick themselves.
Soon, Florida bloggers will also be forbidden to use naughty words about the governor, like ‘disgusting’, ‘self-serving’, or ‘dictatorial’. These will be replaced with more appropriate words, like ‘powerful’, ‘people-oriented’, and ‘role model’.
God forbid there should be any diversity, we should all be the same, feel the same, act the same. This way we are much easier to control. Where can we pick up our SS uniforms, Herr Ron?
Books are and have always been evil. Especially the ones who open people’s eyes, raise awareness, and make people smarter. Smart people are the Devil’s work and so are books.
Because who needs competition, right?
Are we really that shocked though?
I’m not.
I’ve seen it happen in full force in my family of origin and I recognize the place of fear, anger, and pain that it comes from. The fear that the world and you know it is going to end and you’re going to be left powerless.
It was only about 6 months ago when I heard my father openly and wholeheartedly support the idea of authoritarian regimes.
Although he was at that very moment standing in a sacred place.
The exact place where, in 1951, a whole family made of 7 people were taken from their home with nothing but the clothes on their backs, loaded into freight cars like livestock, transported for days without knowing where they were going, and finally dumped in an open field on the other side of the country. One of the 7 was my mother. His wife. The rest were the rest of our family.
My mother was 2 years old at the time. Her mother — my grandmother — was 19.
Apart from them, 40,000 other people had the same faith. They were taken from their homes in the middle of the night at gun point and dumped into an arid land thousands of miles away.
They had to dig trenches to protect themselves and their children from harsh cold and unforgiving heat. Some of them died and so did their loved ones. They had no food unless they grew food. The only water came from a river where dead swollen cows were floating down it, like omens of death.
They were left to die.
That’s what dictators do. They kill whoever they see fit.
However, nobody thinks of old sinister stories like this one when they’re protecting their own identity and power. Or just trying to win an argument, like in my father’s case.
And although that’s when I broke contact with him, I know where he’s coming from: he’s coming from a place of hurt.
He feels he’s losing power and his way of life is no longer valued. And he wants that power back.
He lived in a world where the straight white male was king.
Whatever fell outside that narrow concept was deemed as weak, useless, bothering, and maybe even threatening.
The threat was mostly that the rest of the world might find out that straight white males are just as weak as the rest of humanity, but he wasn’t aware of that.
So he was, just like America’s GOP, going crazy over losing power.
Who wouldn’t be? I also go crazy when life doesn’t go my way. So would anybody who lost a job, fell from grace with their loved ones, or just see life strip them of all their power.
The only difference is that not all of us blame it on somebody else or try to make others just as miserable as we are.
Most of us aren’t looking for scapegoats.
Our identity is not threatened by other people’s different identities, like the Republicans, who are only allowed to be straight, Christians, married with children, and preferably white.
And lord and behold, how come it’s always one of these guys who get caught wearing a big blonde wig, a full red lip, and have their hand down a male prostitute’s pants? All the while trying to push anti-gay marriage propaganda.
What seems to be the problem, Congressman? Are you trying to prevent yourself from marrying the men you screw (and possibly love) by banning gay marriage for everybody?
Isn’t it a very narcissistic perspective where it’s their way or the highway?
And this has been extended to an entire huge and powerful nation. Because let’s face it — wherever there are narcissists, there are also co-dependents who can’t wait to do their bidding.
And there are also good people who want to help, do good, and help, but they are tricked into doing that in very damaging ways.
Sometimes they’re tricked into doing it against their own best interest: keep in mind that a huge chunk of pro-lifers are women who think they’re doing the right thing, as if the rest of us are just so happy about getting abortions.
I remember the time when my home country was famous worldwide for being the country with the most orphans and the most gruesome orphanages.
America and other first-world countries would come over and recoil at the massive amount of abandoned children living in dire conditions, abandoned, feral, unloved, and condemned to a grim future.
Guess how that happened? My country lived for a long time under a dictatorial regime that forbid abortion, banned contraception, and limited access to information. Sound familiar?
They also encouraged families to have a lot of children through local culture, social pressure, and financial support. When a woman would have a minimum of 10 children she was called a Heroine Mother and given a medal.
Women’s bodies were turned into nothing but an inert factory that had the capacity to deliver a product: babies that would, later on, be used as workforce, as human shield in a possible war, or as pawns to multiply the country’s population.
However, when the massive pro-life propaganda and support eventually stopped, the country was left with a giant number of children that their families could no longer feed. And neither could the state.
Enter: orphanages of doom.
The women who didn’t buy into the ‘be fruitful and multiply’ scam, but still got pregnant with an unplanned baby, sometimes opted for self-inflicted or clandestine abortions.
The kind where they would mutilate their insides with alcohol and crooked clothes hangers. It was a blood bath.
A lot of women died in those years. A lot of women!
The American Shock: From Atrocity to Beauty and Back Again
America is a different planet.

For people from countries that already experienced one or several dictatorial regimes, seeing what’s happening now in America leaves them dumbfounded.
Because they understand. They’ve been through it and they know where this is going.
It’s going towards stripping people of their rights and using them as scapegoats for the country’s problems, while the real problems get swept under the carpet.
It’s usually people who do nothing wrong.
First, it’s the women, then the LGBTQ, then pretty much everybody who is different from what the state has in mind.
Apart from power and financial reasons, at some point, it’s going to be ‘whoever we like’ lives and the rest can die.
When something that hurts nobody is demonized and criminalized, look out: something evil is in the making.
A dictatorship is brewing in the land of the free.
Prediction: the dictatorship will win. And it will be the end of the greatest country in the world.
