Ambling, Ambulatory, Alliterative Adages

ABC is not always as easy as 1, 2, 3

It’s been a wild few months! While I’m loving the roller coaster that is graduate school, the sandwich of a full-time job, school, and everything else has been a lot to manage!

Klara Jane Holloway took my mind off of the stress with her amusing piece on being dismissed from jury duty.

Jan Sebastian is forever inspirational, and I always appreciate the way she incorporates lightheartedness and humor into her writing. Much love, Jan!

Yana Bostongirl had some excellent image ideas for articles. I must admit that a couple of the repeat images featured in her article are ones I’ve been guilty of using in the past. Oops!

This evening, I was in the mood for alliteration. Though I can’t say that my younger self ever would have pictured alliteration being a mood, life can be surprising. I challenge anyone who is interested to alliterate the alphabet (if that’s worded correctly)!

An anecdote, alliteration aiming to amplify already apparent adages;

Be bold, belligerently bombarding the bureaucracy, bracing for backlash;

Clever collections of consonance, collectives of consonants, capitalizing on creativity;

Double down on doubt, dedicate days to didactic dissertations and divisive diatribes;

Experience the ecstasy of ephemeral events, explore the ether, and ensure excellence;

Fast-forward, feelings fleeting for fear of fascination with fantastical forays into fiction;

Give gratefully, gather gregariously, greet guests without guile, gain what is Godly;

Hope healthily, heal heartily, hasten to help harried heroes, heed the herald;

Idioms icily isolate individuals, information is interrupted by intermittent idiosyncrasies;

Jars of Johnson & Johnson jail the jobless, justice is jest to a jealous jury;

Kids of killers are kings of kindness, keepers of kin, keepers of keys and kites;

Lives lived lackadaisically lack the legislation of life and loaf amongst laws of the lost;

Most matriarchs multitask mightily, managing more than managerial men;

Notice the notion of normal is nothing, notwithstanding normal niceties nullify the noxious;

Opposition ostracizes the occidental but opens offices to the oppressed;

Perfection prevents progress, punctuality projects professionalism and preparedness;

Quite qualified is the quixotic queen, quietly questioning a quarter of the queue;

Reactions to renegades ricochet, rendering reliable relationships ruined;

Stop selling the sorrow of seared souls, to the sacrifices of saints and soldiers, it’s sacrilege;

Terrific teachers teach tenderly, tend to the timid and the tough, talk tactfully and truthfully;

Underdogs undergo unhappiness, but understand it is the umbrella that unites us;

Verily, very vivacious volunteers visit the victim and value the valley;

When we wage war, water is waste, the wasteland a warning to wanderers;

Xenial xenophiles, not xenophobia;

Yearly, youth yearn for yesterday;

Zodiac, the zoetrope of zany zealots.

That’s all for alphabet soup today! Many thanks to Toni Crowe, Henery X, Graham D. Cooke, Maria Rattray, GFC: Grown Folk Conversations, Suzanna Quintana, TB Obwoge, Ravyne Hawke, Sanni Lark, Moon Bastet, and Diane E. Tatum for your encouragement and inspiration! ❤
