Ambition

You yearned, yearned, And yearned for more, When nothing existed, You sprung into existence.
Born in the womb, Of the dark ocean, You yearned and yearned, For light.
With time your yearning, Gave you fins, And swimming towards, Light you went.
It took time, But you persisted, The yearning was greater, Than the wait.
You saw the light, The sun the green, You saw heaven, You yearned to walk upon it.
It took time again, But again you persisted, The yearning became greater, Than the effervescent wait.
Then one day you walked out, Of water on fours, And roamed on fours, Enjoying every blade of grass.
Then, the night came, The veil of night, The fiery firmament, You yearned for it.
You yearned to touch, The shiny stars, Called to you, And you yearned to be close.
So then you yearned, To grow taller, So you learned to walk, On twos with some time.
Time and patience, You showed, Over and over, The will of heart being passed.
When you walked on twos, You could not still reach, The stars, the shiny stars, So you yearned and yearned.
Then cerebral ability sprouted, In us and we created everything, We wanted, We used, used and used.
But our yearning still was there, To touch the stars, So we created planes and spaceships, And went there.
But our yearning still doesn’t stop, So we now want Mars, And then the myriad of stars, In the cosmos.
So when you ask of your purpose, Your purpose is to rise, Rise above and above, Your own capabilities.
Your purpose is to, Pass on the will of heart, To grow and grow and grow, That is the purpose.
Of life, of heart, Of career, of ambition, Go higher than yourself, Every day, every moment.
