A letter to my country:

Although we are usually not so modern, we are very rich in culture, habits, spirituality, religion and love and respect. Had it not been for humanity loving me, rebuking me, applauding me, challenging me, sidelining me, and building my character, I would not be able to say that it is well with my soul.

To my parents:

Thank you for choosing to raise me every day when I was young. I now understand that the work of my parents is full of challenges, never-ending, but also rewarding.

Since becoming a mom:

I have had the rare opportunity to witness life from the inside out. Of course, I am referring to my child’s conception, pregnancy, delivery and growth milestones. I swear, I sometimes glance at her, completely in awe of my ability to create.

Speaking of my kid:

She is eight years old, tall and dark, lean, well-spoken, fashionista, bright and active young person on her way to her destiny. At this age, she is becoming her person, yet, she is my extension’ for she is because I am. Correspondingly, all that I am: I owe to my family (close and extended), my teachers (paid and not), my society, and my life experiences.

Thankful:

Thus, I can say so myself, I am favoured enough to be a mother. One who is fortunate to raise her kid in the same home, implementing the exact principles I travelled from Eswatini with to here that got us where we are and will continue to navigate us each rising of the sun.

When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned like a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things:1 Corinthians 13:11

Owing to what I hear with my ears and what I see with my eyes: if I say that I can control my life at any time, then I am a liar. I say this because a good book convinces me that the master knows my name. See, Jeremiah 1:5, “before I formed you, in the womb, I knew you before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Conclusion:

I had a great time approaching the prompt: I am the captain, ship and navigator of all this. When thinking about my views on it, I went back to my growing up period and immediately realized that I was because other people were.

As a person with a collective mind, never might I take all glory in any part of my life trajectory. For, I am yet to start and complete something unaided.

For instance, I would be nothing without the support I gain and benefit from as a Medium writer. In other words, thank you for visiting my work, leaving comments and applause for my work. Remember, your actions convert into dollars.
