Summary

Gustave Deresse, a Métis-Canadian writer, humorously announces his aspiration to become the world's best clickbait writer, while also sharing his interests in various thought-provoking themes and encouraging readers to subscribe and support his work.

Abstract

In a playful yet thought-provoking piece, Gustave Deresse expresses his unconventional goal of attaining the title of "world's best" clickbait writer by intentionally crafting sensationalist content. Deresse humorously offers a prayer to a "conscious entity of power," blending spirituality with comedic elements, only to retract his "blasphemy" later in the article. Amidst the jesting, he provides insight into his diverse interests, covering spirituality, logic, philosophy, neurocognitive psychology, creativity, writing, humor, inspiration, and wellbeing, inviting readers to delve deeper into his work by subscribing and supporting him through a 'Buy Me a Coffee' link.

  • Deresse's mention of potential future edits indicates an ongoing commitment to refining his craft and a dedication to presenting his best work to his audience.
  • The invitation for readers to support him through a 'Buy Me a Coffee' link, in exchange for additional content, reflects a modern approach to monetizing creative work and building a personal connection with readers.
  • The closing sentiments of appreciation and a personal signature suggest that Deresse views his relationship with his readers as an important aspect of his work.

Humour

Am I Silly?

Define ‘silly’.

Is it clickbait if I don’t write this article to answer the question in the title, but in doing so provide evidence to the solution?

Because I want to talk about a new goal of mine — to be the world’s best clickbait writer of the century.

You read that correctly.

I want to intentionally compose so much clickbait that I enter the Clickbait Hall of Fame.

Pray with me:

Dear potentially conscious entity of power, thank you for all that we have. With the rarity of my worship, my avoidance of sacred responsibility, I will understand if my voice is swept beneath the rugs of your ethereal abode. I beg you allow me to make promises for the future, as you are needed this day…’

Since receiving a shock from the fabric of my seat, I have decided NOT to continue with my blasphemy.

For now.
