Always Look For the Signs
We can pay attention to the signs or choose to ignore them.
I have become increasingly aware over the last several years that the Universe speaks to us and gives us many signs.
Occasionally, those signs are subtle, and other times they smack us in the face.
Periodically, we don’t know what is happening and try to control our surroundings. As scary as it may seem, if we listen to the Universe and let go, we will be guided by an unseen hand.
I can look back to my earlier years and now recognize all the blatant indications I ignored. Was it I didn’t want to see them or was it that when we are younger, we don’t know how to recognize them, or maybe we don’t care?
I know I saw the signs, but did not know how powerful my intuition or connection to the Universe was. If I had tuned in to them, it would have saved me lots of heartache and complicated situations.
When I listened to them as a little girl, it protected me from harmful conditions. I am thankful for those times that someone or something was guiding me.
The whole concept of the Universe or God looking out for you is intriguing. The Universe teaches us so many lessons about love and life.
Why is it that certain people enter or come back into our lives through a chance meeting, a found photograph, or a song that triggers a memory? Sometimes it is an event or a situation that resurfaces and teaches us something once again.
Most recently, I have been focusing on the signs. Months back, I felt I was at a crossroads and was stuck. I had received news about how a door closed within my career and felt overwhelmed. I was floundering and started going in so many directions. I felt hopeless.
Simultaneously I was friended, or shall I say graced, by someone from my past through Facebook. We hadn’t crossed paths for many years. After a month, I saw her post informing friends of her new business venture.
I had just had a session with my therapist about exploring my options and how I would transform my situation. I needed another door to open!
My friend’s new occupation was a reiki master. She was a healer, opening chakras and unblocking them. She used a quote in her post that spoke to me. At that moment, I saw the synchronicity. I had to have a session with her. I couldn’t ignore the message I was being sent.
The first appointment that we had was remarkable. We caught up a bit, and it was so good to speak with my pledge sister. It seemed as if we had just seen each other the day before, even though it had been decades.
The session was profound, and she quoted two Rumi quotes that were dear to my heart. She told me what I needed to hear, and I knew what she said was true in the depth of my soul. I felt empowered.
I recall listening to her words during the guided meditation and tears continuously flowing from my eyes. It was such a release. I had not cried like that for years, although I was not devoid of experiencing pain.
Afterward, I felt spent but also at peace. The timing was incredible. During the period with her, I set my intentions, and not long after, I had the courage to set out on my writing journey.
We can believe in coincidence or acknowledge the synchronicity and fate within our life. Our life can sometimes come full circle and bring people back to us to help, love, teach, and inspire us.
It can be to complete something as well. Whatever the situation, it’s a sign that the Universe will always have the necessary people there to enter one’s life; you just have to notice the signs.
