She then went on to describe an issue her partner is having with his liver as confirmed by blood work and potential contributors to the condition. Thankfully it was a fairly common issue, very much related to diet and potentially other habits.

I was quick to assure her that the liver actually does a really good job of healing and rebounding if given the right conditions, so it’s definitely possible to create change.

I mentioned that along with a change in eating, there are many supplements that help to detox the liver, including milk thistle and dandelion root. I also mentioned glutathione, which can be found in various foods or available in supplement form (I’ve found that one super helpful for detoxing lately). I have been using a topical skin patch for it and I love that easy option.

I also brought up limiting alcoholic drinks and OTC and prescription medications as much as possible to give the liver a break in what it has to process. I told her that, in my opinion, with a few changes, I definitely feel that her partner’s lab numbers could improve in time for his upcoming follow-up.

I took various photos of things I had around the house for liver support, including herbal teas, herbal supplements, topical patches, and whole food supplements. Always Happy to Discuss Health

It’s always exciting to me when people take an interest in their health and well-being…

I love the Zen feeling of health and wellness displayed in this photo. {Photo courtesy of FreePik}

People sometimes ask me for help with health issues and I realize that it’s one of my top interests. It’s become increasingly so, I’ve noticed.

I believe our bodies are all about balance, so we can do things differently to change our health. I also believe in the concept of DNA restoration and regeneration — that we can literally create change on a cellular level (maybe it’s all of the Virgo influence in my chart, especially my North Node aka destiny in Virgo). I’ve had to overcome various health conditions throughout my life, quite often seeking out my own answers when doctors didn’t know what was going on or how to treat issues I was struggling with, including as we speak, as I’m healing myself from some pretty difficult scenarios. I also recently left a job working for a Chinese medicine acupuncture doctor for over 3.5 years and a veterinarian for 4 years prior to that.

So I thought it was cute today when I got an unexpected text from my co-worker. She is quite young, as I imagine her significant other is as well. She first asked if I was super into health stuff. I have discussed some things publicly amongst other co-workers in the past about health and wellness being my thing. I chuckled and responded by saying I try to be and how I’ve been healing some of my own conditions lately, which seems to be helping. She then went on to describe an issue her partner is having with his liver as confirmed by blood work and potential contributors to the condition. Thankfully it was a fairly common issue, very much related to diet and potentially other habits.
