Life sometimes throws wrenches at you making it difficult to keep going. Although, these situations are difficult to not get sad or angry, it is good to always be kind.

You Never Know What Others are Facing

As difficult a time you may be going through, you never know what the other person is facing. They may be going through an extremely trying issue or even be facing a loss of a loved one.

Your comment may be the difference between brightening their day or causing them to continue in their poor mood. It may even be the difference in giving them motivation for continuing when at their wit’s end.

Much like you would want them to do the same for you, it is good to try to help them through their difficult situation.

Being Kind Promotes Positive Actions by Others

There is a “pay it forward” mentality created by kind actions. When you do something kind to another, they tend to replicate it to more people. Pretty soon, this builds up to a beautiful snowball effect where large numbers of people are being kind.

It doesn’t always work this perfectly, but it does often result in a multiplicative effect of benefitting folks you have never even met. To me, that is a very beautiful thing.

More importantly, the positive energy often helps people make better decisions which can greatly benefit your community and the world around you as a whole.

Being Kind Makes You Feel Better

While the objective should always be to help someone else, being kind has a tendency of also lifting your spirits. Being able to bring a smile to someone else’s face is a small victory that promotes confidence and lessens stress.

Doing this often can even change a person’s normal mood from always being grumpy to feeling good when helping others.

I’m hoping this will encourage you to find someone in your life that can benefit from a random act of kindness.
