WORLD POETRY DAY 2023 WRITING PROMPT
Always Be A Poet Even In Prose
A poem for Charles Baudelaire

And I should choose my words as artfully to speak my truth as I consider it as Baudelaire wrote drunk remarkably on opium, hashish, French wine a bit,
and more while watching evil flowers bloom with wretchedness of our vile humanity, this poetry of yearning hearts and doom, a flaneur’s convalescence, lavishly.
We should live each of our own moments as a poet. If we walk this path we have no choice. Everything we do and experience becomes the poem.
Written in response to Carolyn Hastings World Poetry Day 2023 Prompt contained in her wonderful piece below….
If anyone would like to contribute to the prompt, World Poetry Day may have passed, but the Paper Poetry Event ends on March 31.
