Alleviate
A Poem

The scars have formed their own idea of a chorus the stinging refrain of memory attached to the relief & the accident & the constant assault But then when sleeping when everyone should be asleep taking on a role slipping out of their masks the pains decide not to halt their advance & the grass bends willingly into the shadow of an alleviation The trouble is holding onto the damned thing
