Alle reads at Orcas Island Lit. Fest.

A stunning experience!

On 6/2, I read as part of the evening Lit Crawl for The Orcas Island Lit. Festival. This is the first year they are in-person again, and, boy, do the organizer work hard on their programming!

My wonderful assigned reading space was in the cutest little bar, The Barnacle, with three other writers. Sober me had a delicious beverage I haven’t had since I left Cambodia. In Cambodia, it’s called a Lime Soda: Seltzer and fresh lime juice served with liquid sugar on the side, to sweeten to your taste. So refreshing!

After the four of us read and I lime-imbibed, I went to another reading at a bookstore up the street, and there it was, on a shelf facing the door, with all the books by all the other presenters from the festival!!! Mine’s to the left of center, on the second shelf, above the book with the cover the color of sunshine and the woman’s photo on it.
