SPIRITUALITY

All Things Enlightenment

My spiritual journey. With my feet firmly grounded on Mother Earth

My wah-wah-ness is part of me. But it wasn’t always so. I was a bit allergic to wah-wah people. People who think it is all up there. Somewhere in the clouds. Never here.

So when the universe opened for me, I tried to find my own path. My own calling. Very firmly grounded with my two feet on Mother Earth. With my head in the clouds whenever my imagination flared. With my belly full of laughter with family and friends and other loved ones.

Enlightenment has never been a dream for me.

Still, nowadays Gaia is often whispering in the night. Giving me nature-connected pieces of information and inspiration to write about and work with.

What about Religion?

My friends are very diverse. We connect on the same values and same kind of ‘gut-feeling’, but we’re not the same. Never.

So I have many rational friends and spiritual ones. I have friends with firm religions. Christians. And Muslims. And Buddhists. And Hinduists. And I have atheist and humanist friends.

For me personally, religion is not an option. I don’t think strict rules are always in the best interest of humans or our planet. And I don’t like the fact that all religions perceive themselves as best. As somehow superior. But I do respect my friends all very much.

I just don’t think it works that way in spirituality.

For me, rewilding my soul and being my own guru works best.

I listen to my soul. To my heart. I use my imagination and creativity combined with nature’s wisdom to do my work and shape my life.

Love and nature are my spirituality, I guess.

Practical Spirituality

Without practicing what I preach, I could never take myself seriously. So most of the time, I can be found with my hands in the soil. Or somewhere listening to the ocean and shaping our lives together.

I’m a Blue Economy expert.

That means I know about systemic design and connections. About nature-based solutions for human economies and ecology. About living soil. And about oceans.

I love the things I do. And I love to connect to people who also love to shape our world into a better home. A home of care and responsibility. A home for all species with humans among them as wise stewards, doing what’s fair for all of us.

For me, spirituality and practical action are definitely connected.

If we feel our spirituality, we will be different. Do different. And support each other no matter what. Enlightened beings are able to keep that flame alive every year. Every month. Every week. Every day. And every minute.

So, here’s your answer, 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘊.

This is what enlightenment means to me.

I’m not there yet. I’m not perfect. But I’m trying. Connecting to nature, connecting to myself, and connecting deeply to others on this spiritual path. And I’m glad to meet so many others on this road to wherever.

Putting one foot before the other. Taking one step at a time.
