All The Stereotypes

And I admit I laughed out loud

I saw it while walking out from the grocery store. A red pickup truck lifted up so it would tower over all the other puny vehicles around it. If you look carefully you can see my truck on the left side of the photo.

On the back of the topper in large bold letters were the words “Trump Won!”

I laughed when I saw this. I thought about how much money this truck cost (a lot) and how much the owner spent to get it lifted (also a lot). Apparently the owner was making a decent living but yet was consumed by the conspiracy theory that the recent election was not judged fairly.

I’m surrounded by these conspiracy nuts in the area that I live in and frankly some of them scare the beejebus out of me. There is one guy I see every day when I drop his kids off from the school bus. He is visibly armed and makes no attempt to hid it. The back of his pickup is covered with stickers touting the confederate flag, white pride and the “come and take it” cannon. He lives just down the road from a guy with a “Q” flag in his yard.

But I still found this pickup truck funny. My imagination came up with all sorts of images of what goofy character drives this truck (and yeah, I went with the size of his manhood too). I guess its better to laugh than to cry.
