“sound it out” I’ve been told oh nightmare of mine as er, ar, ir, or, ur, all one to my ear
You see I earned my PdH tweren’t easy to say the least if not for spell check and a Mac I wouldn’t be Dr. C
Oh I can paint with words and make metered music of consonants and vowels
But spelling, oh my no my brain just ain’t wired so as I can naught or not tell served from severed nor balance for blance
And it’s from its — these to are two much too deal with…Oh editors I know I just made you cry!
who, I ask you, thought it was a good idea to drop an extra E in vegetable but to remove it from judgment?
Judgment is a good decision about what should be done well someone- Daniel Webster- I blame (and why not blaim) made a bad call — as vegtable is what we say and judgement needs the E, if ya ask me.
“sound it out” I’ve been told oh twice the nightmare of mine as er, ar, ir, or, ur, all one to my ear
Worse I hear the sound but can not see the letters I need…frustrated I was when trying to write “Frustrated” on the whiteboard and got not further than Fru.. I truly had not a clue and had to tell the 30 pair of eyes staring at me that my brain just doesn’t know what order F-r-u-r-t-s-e-t-a-d should go
“Look it up” teachers would say — hey get a clue, if I can’t spell it, I can’t find it cause try as I might I can “ensure” that I won’t find that word in the I’s of any Funk and Wagner, American Heritage, or other dictionary you’d have me peruse dictionaries are no “ensurance.”
“sound it out” I’ve been told oh thrice the nightmare of mine Have you heard? er, ar, ir, or, ur, all one to my ear
I truly celebrate auto correct as wrong as it often is and express gratitude for Google search and “Hey Seri” Errors and apologies for such I will always make Cause of dyslexia-this writing biz is naught a piece of cake
I hope I brought to you a giggle or two or perhaps opened an eye I would if I could, but I can’t all I can do is try.
