All About The Blooms
Embracing nature’s beauty

Summer for us in the Nordic region was super short this year. The summer was glorious! Lovely long days. Warmth. Glistening water. Then August arrived and it rained for nearly a month! It was a bit of a shock.
Now the leaves are turning red and gold — but that’s for another story. This is all about the blooms!
I am in constant awe of what pops up out of the ground here when the snow thaws. By late summer there are flowers everywhere.

I’ve done quite a bit of cycling this summer and autumn. It’s taken me all over my local area. There are wildflowers and planted beds, both havens for pretty flowers pushing their way past each other.

The other thing that’s pretty awesome is the huge bumblebees. They’re lovely! It’s kind of hard to believe they can fly, they’re so big. The thistles were huge too, and a little scary! But they’re pretty when they're purple and they attract these lovely, fluffy bumblebees.

Then there are the daisies. Maybe it’s not a daisy? Looks like one to me. They’re sunny and pretty. It’s like sunshine in living form.
And life wouldn’t be complete without the wild raspberries! I love that I can ride my bike around and find patches of these beauties growing (including in an ‘unkept’ patch of the communal backyard in my apartment block!)

So there you have it — photos to remind me of the warmer months as I ease myself into autumn.
