Ali Baba And The Forty Thieves
Summer Six Word Photo Story Challenge “Shine!”
Shiny cave with stars and moon
I went to Queen Califia’s magic park in Sandiego. I loved this cave studded with moon and stars among the many shiny murals. Sitting inside the cave, I felt I was in a mysterious paradise.
Reflecting and in deep thought, I saw shiny marbles behind the stars and moons and the cave reminded me of a fable when I was a kid.
Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves
As the story goes, Ali Baba discovered the secret of the robbers. He had nothing to do with them. He was a simple, poor God-fearing man who loved to share things with others.
One day he was in the forest, and he heard the sound of hoofs. He hid on top of a tree. When the horsemen descended, he heard them say ‘Open Sesame’ They were inside for a while, and when they finally left, they said ‘Close Sesame’.
When the robbers went, he said the secret code and found himself in a shiny cave full of gold and silver. The whole cave glittered and shone. The light was so bright and dazzling that he kept his eyes low and found a lot of jewels there.
Ali Baba picked up as much gold as possible and took it home. When his brother found out, he said he would report the matter if he did not get the secret code.
Ali Baba told his brother the code. His brother was already very rich, but he was also greedy. He went running to the cave with his horses and sacks to fill gold. However, he opened the cave with the code but forgot it when he had to come out.
The robbers discovered him and killed him. Ali Baba was saved by Morigiana, a slave of the leader of the robber.
This was the secret cave where a lot of wealth was hidden. He heard the robbers uttering the word “Open Sesame” and the cave would open. Then he would close by saying “Close Sesame”
The takeaways
Greed has a fall. Every shiny thing cannot come into your control. If you want to seize the rights of others as Alibaba’s brother had tried to do, you will lose all.
Always remember that shiny things are good when you use them properly and share the good things with others in your life.
