Alex Jones ~ the gay frogs guy

Can people like Mr Jones be beaten with laughter?

Granny & Grandad, known to me as Mum and Dad, were telling my son and I about the strange awful American being sued for nearly $50 million dollars over his bizarre and offensive claim that kids killed in a school shooting were actors.

It seemed just another story from across the pond of how powerful Americans were eager to force their opinions on other not so powerful Americans, no matter how dumb they were. The recent abortion rights debacle had sent my parents and much of the Western world into a melt down of anti-American feeling as this once great nation drifted into a nanny state and its famed freedoms drained away.

“The water turns the frogs gay guy!” My sixteen year old son blurted out. He knew who this Alex Jones was! I’d never heard of him but I know my son and his friends are always quoting this crazy statement, laughing at the absurdity of it.

You see to him this Mr Jones was not some weirdo from the darkest depths of the internet’s toxic masculinity, but instead just another YouTube entertainer along with the likes of socialist UK activist JOE, and the greatest of them all (according to my son) the recently deceased Minecraft genius Technoblade.

The rest of us could suddenly see the whole thing a bit differently. For Americans, and most painfully for those directly affected by his attention seeking terror, it will probably be tough to see him as anything other than an evil apologist for child killers, but for teenagers in the UK he is to be laughed at and ridiculed.

Whilst this might not lessen his negative impact on the world it is probably for the best that he is made fun of and sent up. Charlie Chaplin knew that when impersonating Hitler so why not with Alex Jones. These nuts love to be taken seriously, as much with your hate as with your love, but laugh at them and watch them melt.
