Rime of the Ancient Mariner is one of my all-time favorite poems, and this haiku is a small dedication to Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s classic work. I learned this morning that Iron Maiden has a song titled The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, also inspired by the story. Even as a metalhead myself, I had no idea it existed, but I quite like the song. Give it a listen here.
