AI’s Vision of the Future in 50 Years, You Won’t Believe What You See

I used Bing AI tool to create some images based on my questions about the future in 50 years. The images showed what things might look like in 2074. I was shocked by the output. Look at the prompts and images below.

The following images were generated from the prompt “generate an image of what houses will look like in 50 years time”

Now that doesn’t actually seem too far fetched does it. I’d just hope that the wind turbines aren’t noisy.

The next images were generated from the prompt “generate an image of what vehicles will look like in 50 years time. This gets a bit more interesting. Bing seems convinced we will be flying around.

I don’t know about you, but I’m ok with that. I’m not sure about the design though. The solar wing things look a bit clumsy.

I asked it to generate a bus from 50 years time too with the same prompt, and that was also pretty amazing.

Note that Bing is quite adamant about the flying vehicles. It’s included them with the futuristic bus.

The next prompt was the scariest one. I asked Bing to generate an image of how a soldier would look in 50 years. This was its response.

Now it’s quite clear that Bing doesn’t assume things are getting any better. I was kind of hoping to see something different.

On that, I decided to ask what a human would look like and Bing definitely sees us augmenting ourselves.

Now this is very strange, and this next one is exactly as it came. I asked it to specifically draw a teenager as it thinks they’ll look in 50 years and....

Haha! Apparently there’s no change there at all. Wow. What a crazy half hour I had.
