AI: THREATS TO WRITERS?
Since the break through period of chatGPT, the writing community has changed. But is it for the best or otherwise?

No one can find out.
There are technical issues arising concerning the question “will chatGPT or other writing AI replace writers?” due to how good AI can be once trained over time. Stress on OVER TIME. AI serves as a key challenge to writers, even students. This is a common problem that will impact the writing industry over the next few seasons.
The availability of true emotional write-ups would be harshly searched for. It gives room for less brainstorming, critical reasoning, thinking, intelligence, and learning. It has changed the reasoning quality in the writer’s world.
The funny sector of this story is that an AI could have written this story in a way you won’t know… sad right?
It could have been written in a way that’d make you cry, smile, or laugh. I don’t know if you’ve experienced that yet by the way.
What is my experience to add to this debate?
I am a Sophomore year student Journalist at Caleb University, Lagos, Nigeria. I’m presently soliciting information about how good AI can be when it’s trained by humans over time.
The answer is, that we humans are the ones who are making AI smarter, better than us. It’s a continuous process. I’ve asked multiple questions from students to get insights about the chatbot taking over writing. And it raises eyebrows about data hygiene and other technical activities. How truthful is AI? Well, that’s a story for another time I presume.
But let’s get back to the main gist here.
AI can write anything, any idea that could have been derived by a young school lad in any style, way, or manner.
Even though it has some short areas it makes mistakes, It’s above average in performance. I mean, it can be close to perfect.
AI has hidden potentials, ones humans have not seen before.
Since this could write essays, presentation speeches, reports, news reports, explain etymologies, cooking recipes and procedures, theories, the meaning of life, lots of philosophy, histories, translate languages, compellingly write an Advertising Copy, It can bring out quotes from famous people of the past, It can write listicles and articles from any answer it gives out. That’s how talented this Intelligence is.
It has seen a lot of breakthroughs after ChatGPT 3, 3.5 and 4, Attention to it is soaring up massively day after day. It is destined to get better as a result of more updates and improvement in a few moments.
AI can give out text-based and video-based information.
It has the qualifications to be deceptive. Powers to deceive people into thinking an AI-generated Article is genuinely written by humans. This alone is a disadvantage to us.
Some article writers are replacing chatbots as an article-generating tool. These contents fool people in tone and how well-written they are.
Humans are now filled with articles written mostly by an AI and they’d find it displeasing to discern through which information is written by humans and the ones that weren’t.
AI'S PERFECTION: AI does not learn to write, It has been trained to write as good to a human satisfactory stage.
AI has mastered tones, styles, tricks, syntax, and forms of language used in specific contexts of communication and he applies it in the right way.
Well, AI produces bad writing someday but editing can be done.
How would writers feel if their Jobs were substituted for a chatbot?
It’s disheartening, It’s not the best among alternatives. Some writers even in this community don’t argue the fact that they feed their members with AI-written content. It removes the authenticity we look for. It removes the authenticity readers and the younger generation need.
Writers are priceless, the ideas they convey can’t be matched by an AI
We do not know what the future holds, but presently we need to up our game in other to find alternatives to get out of this situation that degrades writing.
