Disintegrating objects! — secrets revealed!

Abe — MJ and me

In ages long past, okay — within the past year, I tried making a planet falling apart for my story, Countdown for Earth. I was met with failure again, and again. In the end, I searched Unsplash for an appropriate image.

Millennia later, (maybe not but some days it feels like it!) I have discovered how to do this. And it’s so simple!

“Falling apart” did not work. Adding key words like “into tiny particles” only seemed to confuse AI.

You’ll be able to destroy your creations, one particle at a time by adding disintegrating to your prompt.

Almost as fun as blowing them up!

One of the first images that turned out great for Abe, I was wearing a stylish brown Fedora looking hat. Since I wanted the traditionally black we all have come to recognize, I tried a few more times to get this.

Why did I make two disintegrating/exploding planets? Because who doesn’t love a graphic explosion?!

I literally couldn’t decide between the two, nor did I really want to. So, you get to enjoy twice as much explosive power!

MJ has really progressed by leaps and bounds the past year. You no longer have to add things like photorealistic or photography terms to have stunning images like those above.

I wanted the entire planet in the shot. I did this by prefacing the prompt with full view of.

Statue — MJ and me

This prompt took a little effort. Not because the images looked bad but because each statue posed in horror that they were being destroyed! 🤣

Some of the images had moths in place of the statue’s material. It looked cool but didn’t fit what I was trying to show you.

You’ll notice I joined garden and statue in the prompt to give AI a better idea of what I wanted the image and background to look like.

Space Station — MJ and me

This image could make for an heart-thumping story. Imagine being on this space station when it is struck and begins disintegrating!

As I mentioned with the statue above, the gnomes had to pose for each image — usually in complete terror.
