After A Day of Zero Motivation, Here’s What Happened
My process
I woke up with zero motivation again. And guess what I did? I got to work. I did my readings, walked the dogs, got in fast cardio to blast some endorphins off, and got the f*ck to work. I can’t rely on motivation as fuel to keep me going because it’s often not there. I have to set aside my unproductive emotions so I can still make progress — even though every ounce of my body might resist the effort.
This is self-discipline.
There will be days when you actually need to rest, but it’s mind over matter mostly. It all comes down to long-term rewards, which often still don’t provide ample motivation, but hopefully, it helps.
