Africa Is A Country Full Of Contrasts
It is like everywhere else

The trip to Africa was amazing
While I was living in Washington, D.C., and working for a nonprofit civil rights organization, I became acquainted with leaders from Turkey. One of their humanitarian efforts was a school which they had established in Africa. These people arranged a trip to Africa for other civil rights leaders. It was my first trip to Africa, and it was a very eye-opening experience.

We visited Ethiopia and Kenya. We also were able to take a safari to the Masai Mara area in Kenya and near Tanzania to see wild animals in their natural habitat.

Visiting a large, modern government building showed that there are areas in Africa where people are doing well economically and financially. They have a good life with all the necessities and some luxuries that life affords.
There are other places where the people are living simple lives. Their homes are small huts, but they seem happy for the most part.

Children run and play just as they do everywhere in the world. They have dogs for pets and enjoy the outdoors.

Some areas where people live are basically the “slums” where they exist with a minimum of necessities and no luxuries. Their lives are simple as they eek out a living.

Life is not easy, and there are many challenges to living.
The United States is not that much different in some ways from Africa. There are big contrasts in the way people live. There are the extremely wealthy people who are billionaires and millionaires in their mansions. Then there are the middle class who live in nice houses or comfortable apartments. Unfortunately, there are also those who live in poverty or are homeless. There are areas that could still be called the slums.
There is a huge disparity in the world. The great majority of the wealth is controlled by a very small percentage of the people. Life is full of inequities.
People can have more love and less hate in their hearts. That would help the world become a better place for more unfortunate people. Perhaps more equality could be found.
