Establish Your Profitable Niche (Based On Knowledge).
With affiliate marketing you need a plan, you need to know where you want to go with “this”. We will outline the kind of structure, and plan you need to succeed with affiliate marketing.
Simply choosing random affiliate links and flooding every platform on earth with annoying posts, is not it! Just because other people are making a ton of sales with certain products, does not necessarily mean you will too!
Find your profitable niche first, this is of paramount importance. Without that, you will just be another floating plastic bag in the wind. Hoping to fly by a sale that will never happen!
This is also the easy part because your profitable niche is simply the one thing you have some knowledge about. That is why hobbies often turn into profitable niches. Find what you love doing, and head down that road.
This is where many affiliate marketers go wrong. You start with your profitable niche until it is profitable. Then only will you broaden your horizons and move on to multiple niches.
Once your profitable niche is in fact profitable, you will have figured out a few content marketing strategies that work. Making it a little easier by simply applying the same strategies to different niches.
That which you love doing most, and cannot stop thinking about? That is YOUR profitable niche. No one else can find that for you.
Identify A Common Need (Audience Engagement).
Once you have established your profitable niche, you are ready for step two. Nowhere near the sales yet, sorry. These are crucial steps to follow if you’re going to compete at a professional level.
Let me explain, my primary personal profitable niche is, you guessed it “making money online”. As for a common need? Well, there is not an online marketer alive who does not want more quality buyer traffic!
I think that pretty much covers the “Common Need”, right? This is why I create, test, and provide content marketing strategies to get buyer traffic. It provides solutions and answers based on a common need within the niche.

Above you can see, for illustration purposes, a question asked on Quora about getting paid traffic to affiliate links. You need to explore the internet within the parameters of your profitable niche. See what people are talking about, but more importantly, what they need help with!
A commonly identified need forms the cornerstone of your online content. Blog posts, YouTube videos, articles, social posts, and every piece of content you create should be based on that. To find that commonly identified need, you may want to consider these few suggestions.
Forum Discussions.
Blog Posts And Comments.
Quora Questions And Comments.
Social Posts And Comments.
Medium Posts And Comments.
These are just a few of the many other options. The point is to find high-quality online audiences related to your profitable niche. Then simply pay attention to the conversations.
You’re doing research, no need to respond to anything just yet. Just find out what people are mostly talking about, within your profitable niche.
Providing A Proven Solution (Article, Post, Or Video).
Before you start selling anything, first you must become a problem solver. Get known as a problem solver, not just another copy/paste affiliate marketer desperate for a sale!
Now that you have seen what your target audience is talking about and established a commonly identified need. You must come up with the solutions they are looking for.
Reputation is everything, be sure you get recognized for the right one. If you want to provide your own proven solutions, then you’re going to have to do your own research. Regardless of your niche.
You must come up with solutions, answers, and guides related to your profitable niche. Not just affiliate offers related to your niche. The better your content and solutions get, the more sales you will generate.
Basically, this means you must create your own content (solutions, etc.) with indexable URLs. Articles, Posts, Publications, and Videos on recognized platforms are usually all indexable URLs.
This means your content can be discovered on the internet. People start reading your content, and watching your videos, and if you give them a reason to, they will follow your lead.
Build An Online Presence (Professional Profiles).
Getting recognized and known for the right reasons, as mentioned earlier will require a lot of work. As does all the rest we have already covered. A lot of research and learning work and long hours!
A sound and solid online presence may start with the below-mentioned list of suggestions. People must be able to see your face, and your content must ensure you get seen as a problem solver.
Facebook Pages.
Facebook Groups.
Medium Profile.
Quora Profile.
Quora Spaces.
LinkedIn Groups.
YouTube Channels.
YouTube Videos.
Twitter Profile.
Facebook Profile.
LinkedIn Profile.
TikTok Channel.
Instagram Profile.
Reddit Profile.
Your job is to give people a reason to follow your content. Prove to them why they may want to follow you or subscribe to your work. You must build your own online audience based on all the factors mentioned in this article.
Websites And Indexable URLs (Affiliate Offers).
Creating content that solves problems, answers questions, and offers guidance is your “secret weapon”. Always remember that most people within any niche for that matter are generally searching for one of four things.
Or all four together. Just create content based on these four elements and your content with a reputation should do just fine.
Answers To Questions.
Solutions To Problems.
Guides To Reach Goals.
Free Stuff.
Within your content, and where allowed you can then include links to affiliate products. But NEVER to affiliate products directly. You need bridge pages, landing pages, websites, and/or blogs.

Don’t get discouraged just yet, I didn’t say you need to pay for websites, blogs, etc. You can easily create one-page websites, videos, blogs, and websites for free, with tools like.
Canva.
YouTube.
Google Blogger.
Wix Websites.
WordPress.
Google Sites.
Google Drive.
Just be sure to focus on the “first impression”. That which your visitor sees first when clicking your link, in the above illustration. One of my Canva one-page websites.
With the “first impression” comes your opportunity to “create curiosity”, and therefore most probably a sale!
Build Recognition And Trust (Useful Content).
Yes, you build recognition and trust with your content, providing you offer solutions that work. But trust also requires you to know what you’re selling!
Selling your own digital products is easy because you know everything there is to know about the product. You created it, and that is the kind of product knowledge you need.
It must not be any different when you sell other people’s products (affiliate marketing). Know the product as if you have personally created it. And there is only one way to do that.
You have to purchase and test the product you intend to promote. If you are not willing to buy the product, then how can you expect your audience to do so?
Outstanding content and solutions, along with sound product knowledge are a sure way to gain trust and build recognition. But this serves only as a structural guideline, we have not even touched on content marketing strategies.
There are already thousands of content marketing strategies that work. You only need to do the research and decide how badly you want to succeed.
Perform Under Pressure (Fierce Competition).
As harsh as it may sound, you have only one guarantee online. That is you will most probably fail the first time, and then work your way through a series of failures before reaching success.
How well you perform under this pressure of desperation, and failure after failure will determine your level of success. You just have to keep going because you owe your audience that persistence.
Chances are that you may even end up getting some of your professional profiles, websites, and posts blocked, banned, or suspended. You may even have to start over, a few times actually.
But you cannot give up because you have an awful lot of people that you have to prove wrong! Always remember those who doubt you. Refuse to give them their satisfaction, make that your motivation!
Personally, I had to start over after years of creating content. And building up rather large audiences on Medium and LinkedIn. But I made stupid mistakes and paid the price. Time to move on.
Because I don’t know how to stop, so, I just started over. Only this time with an extra decade’s knowledge! You must refuse to be outworked, outwilled, or outwitted!
