A short poem dedicated to the child of my dreams

It was but a flash, a boom of white light stood in shock, and awe as I was brought to a foreign site, a place of Illumination — a realm of light, nobody to be seen and nobody in sight — strange

I walked around, for a while diverging towards an answer — tipping away at a confusing state, as I looked around a wailing sound, in that luminescent house, whistling through a breeze

It kept on going I wondered — what it would be, I came across the curtains to see a baby crib, a child laid there crying in duress, I came towards it calmly, and looked towards it in bliss

As soon as I made a glance with the child a familiar face, perhaps I couldn’t mind I picked her up, calmly and held him in my arms, the crying subtly stopped, as the child smiled, and laughed

She held my finger tightly and played with it, I bet; our eyes met together, and I felt it sinks within — this child who is she, and then I searched around to look for her mother, or someone who could be bound — to no avail

The house seemed empty, but was peaceful indeed, I saw many frames, but they were blurred to my need, I stopped worrying about whom to find as I lay there standing playing with that child, I held him close and sung him a lullaby

This child, who seemed so happy and calm, with me there by his side, I lay her back in the crib when he felt asleep to look around again, perhaps I was worried indeed, and then as soon as I turned around I was thwarted aback away as the sound, began to ring

The child started crying, i couldn’t even sing it felt as I was strung back to my bed, I woke up from what seemed like another realm, tears falling through my eyes, and my heart — a forsaken child that I lost, it gave me distress and anguish beyond repair, a child that I loved, a child I couldn’t bear
