Poem
Across the Shore
Footprints Lost
Calling your name stretches to the ends of the world Nothing is more heartbreaking and lonely Only my heart answers your call While the waves roar on this beach Here, you stand alone My footsteps are nowhere to be found by your side
But, the time has come My voice calls, I am the ocean that embraces you Where do you always return? Orange embraces my shoulders Night unfolds before me And the vigilant moon illuminates my steps
I keep walking, stepping incessantly In the blooming darkness, I want to know, are you there?
Gazing at you in the tinted sunset Walking on the edge of two worlds Nothing is more beautiful, nothing is more longing Only my heart is pleading
If only you knew On that beach, you are not alone My footsteps may be invisible beside you But when you feel The sand you tread disappears, it’s me, the ocean embracing you
I embrace your shore tightly Orange embraces your shoulders Night stretches before you The moon shines, witnessing your steps
Keep walking, keep stepping I want you to know, I am always here
