No pressure. Just enjoy each step that comes your way.

Life in the new web age has molded people to put up a neat picture, showcase the bling by posting on social media, and gain reactions and followers daily.

The good thing about people like me who were influenced by the world has decided to deactivate most of my social media outfits since the world has fed me with trash almost daily.

In my cleansing journey, I am thankful to God that I have realized that most of the things I consume are non-essential.

Trimming down my online routine has made me present and re-think ideas about my spending and investing approach.

Although I am not an all-in for the Financial Independence Retire Early (F.I.R.E) movement, there are good things to learn from the people in it.

As others say, it is not just a dream; it’s a goal, a lifestyle, and a new flex.

This movement empowers individuals to take control of their financial destinies, break free from the shackles of traditional retirement age, and achieve the financial freedom to live on their terms.

The Lifestyle of Breaking Free from the 9-to-5 by enjoying the single moment of the present.

When I tried crunching my numbers and focusing most of my energy on increasing my income (hoping to leave my job sooner), I pressured and robbed the joy of whatever was in front.

I tried resetting my mind and embracing the lifestyle while being intentional about my relationships at this time, which made me feel more relaxed than feeling stressed and depressed at times.

The lifestyle of breaking free is a process and a daily walk. Pushing myself on the wall and expecting things to happen overnight is a no-no.

Customizing your financial journey based on your terms (if it pains you too much, then re-design your map)

Retiring early doesn’t mean sitting around doing anything; it means having the freedom to choose how you spend your time.

If you love traveling, go for it and plan it carefully. When you love to go out with family, do not bore yourself inside the home, and be creative in creating an activity.

Passions need not be expensive.

Customize your road map, being mindful of your finances but still pursuing what you want.

You can never thrive by doing it on your own

One of the most significant aspects of embracing the F.I.R.E. movement journey is to be part of a community.

I just mentioned the shutting of social media, but you can still join other interactive and communication channels minus the scrolling by joining and connecting with like-minded people.

Staying motivated and accountable on your journey toward financial independence and early retirement is vital.

Doing it alone is having a party alone; you need company.
