Unlock Free Access to Claude AI with These Three Handy Tools

Claude has shown superior performance compared to GPT-3.5 Turbo across various metrics. Notably, the Claude-Instant-100k variant achieves performance levels nearly on par with GPT-4. This translates into a highly engaging and satisfying AI conversational experience.

Accessing Claude AI models is currently available through select channels that are not widely publicized yet. Anthropic (the owner of Claude )is presently offering access to specific companies and individuals, enabling them to test and contribute to model refinement.

It’s important to note that while Anthropic provides early access to Claude models via their API and applications, the demand for access is currently exceeding availability. Obtaining access to Claude may require some patience as Anthropic reviews applications and gradually partners with new users. Please be aware that access is not guaranteed for all applicants.

1. Vercel AI Playground

The first tool to access Claude for free is Vercel AI Playground. This is an accessible and free tool designed for easy experimentation and comparison of different AI models, both commercial and open-source. With this platform, you can engage with conversational AI models provided by renowned companies like OpenAI, Hugging Face, Cohere, Replicate, and Anthropic.

To start experimenting with Anthropic’s Claude models on the AI Playground, you simply need to sign up for a Vercel Hobby account, which is a quick and straightforward process, taking just a few minutes. Once you’re logged in, you’ll gain instant access to Claude and various other AI models right from the AI Playground interface.

It is important to note that recently Vercel AI Playground made Claude models become paid only but it is still very cheap as shown in the figure below.

2. Poe

Poe AI, a project brought to you by Quora, offers a free AI playground where you can dive into conversations with AI conversational models. Once you’ve set up your free account, you’ll be able to engage with models like ChatGPT, Claude, Sage, and other tailored AI options available through Poe. Additionally, there’s an option to craft your very own customized model using the provided guide.

You can select one of the following options to use the Claude model:

• Claude-instant-100k
• Claude-2–100k
• Claude-instant

After selecting one of them you will get a similar chatbot as the one shown below:

3. Slack Application

Imagine Claude as your dedicated AI assistant, always ready to support your team. Just speak to it plainly and provide clear, step-by-step instructions for what you require. Claude is here to help with tasks such as summarizing content, generating ideas, answering questions, and more.

To integrate Claude into your Slack workspace, follow these simple steps:

1. Click the “More” button.
2. Select “Apps.”
3. Search for “Claude.”
4. Click “Add to Slack.”

You can interact with Claude in Slack in two ways:

1. In channels and group DMs, simply mention @Claude in a message. Claude will respond in that same thread for everyone to see. If you need further assistance, just mention @Claude again.
2. Alternatively, send Claude a direct message (Private). Claude will respond directly, much like messaging a coworker.

Feel free to assign specific tasks to Claude, and it will do its utmost to efficiently support your team.
