Cheating: The Other Woman Always Gets the Scarlet Letter, Ask Adam Levine

Is flirting cheating?

An OnlyFans model comes out on TikTok alleging that she had an ‘affair’ with Adam Levine, and she gets online vitriol, while Adam gets a ‘what was he thinking’ bro love.

And it can’t be farther from what netizens are saying is the misogynistic view of this viral TikTok from 92010 actor Sara Foster, who puts much of the blame on Levine’s alleged lover.

Even though Adam Levine is a 43-year-old man, and Sumner Stroh, the model who came out with her accusations against the singer is 20 years younger.

Sara Foster says on her TikTok,

Cheating is so gross. He’s obviously, like, a total pig and gross, but this woman who chose to make a viral TikTok video claiming — by the way, not even apologizing, but putting it out there for the world to see, for a pregnant woman to see, when she could’ve just messaged her privately — claiming it’s not her fault,”

“It’s like, we don’t feel sorry for you. You knew this man was married, OK? And you participated. You could’ve easily ignored the messages. You knew he was married.

We do not feel sorry for you.” — Foster, 41, kicked off her now-viral diatribe.

For some context, Sara is the daughter of music legend David Foster whose marriage to her mom ended in divorce because of cheating.

Sometimes children feel that they are part of their parent's marriage and I feel for those who are traumatized by divorce but what happened in your life isn’t the reality for everyone.

And here comes a retort from Emily Ratajkowski

Also, if you’re the one in the relationship, you’re the one who’s obligated to be loyal. So, the whole other woman, they’re to blame, that’s bad. And it’s literally designed to keep women apart.”

The wedding is the easy part, staying married is hard. It appears that Adam and his wife are trying to make it work. It can happen, for a marriage to survive cheating.

This TED Talk by Esther Perel made a lot of sense as I was looking for answers to my questions on infidelity in marriage.

Now, there are three ways that I think infidelity hurts differently today. We have a romantic ideal in which we turn to one person to fulfill an endless list of needs: to be my greatest lover, my best friend, the best parent, my trusted confidant, my emotional companion, my intellectual equal. Can couples survive infidelity in marriage?

Healing needs to start somewhere. Owning it is a great start for the person who cheated.

Adam Levine in his statement said ‘he crossed the line.’

He isn’t ready to admit that it was an affair, while there might not have any sex involved, anything done in secrecy can be considered infidelity.

Now, I like this definition of an affair — it brings together the three key elements: a secretive relationship, which is the core structure of an affair; an emotional connection to one degree or another; and a sexual alchemy.

And alchemy is the key word here, because the erotic frisson is such that the kiss that you only imagine giving, can be as powerful and as enchanting as hours of actual lovemaking. Adam Levine if all those screenshots are real, did more than flirting. He imagined giving these women something he should not have kept secret from his wife because a secret is the poison of any relationship.

Several women have come forward with their ‘relationship’ with Adam Levine and we haven't heard the last of it yet.

Final words

Infidelity hurts. I know it hurt me so much in my past relationships that in one relationship I couldn’t recognize myself anymore.

I also can’t believe anything he tells me.

It destroys your self-worth and asks these questions like,

If only I could be everything to him.

But we can’t be everything to anyone. We can provide them with love and understanding, and when an affair happens it doesn’t mean he or she isn't happy, it only means they cheated.

And may our society be kind to the other woman, while she like the man should own it up, they shouldn’t be carrying a scarlet letter on top of her head.
