About Me — The ABCs of Linda
Here are 26 facts about me from A to Z!

I stumbled on a cool writing prompt and thought I’d jump on that train.
Here is how you do it.
List the letters of the alphabet and write something about yourself for each letter of the alphabet. You can use a noun, an adjective, or some other descriptive phrase to tie the letter to yourself. It can be about your personality, hobbies, likes, or dislikes. Use your imagination and run with this! That is the beauty of writing.
Here I go!
A for AviationI love to travel but am afraid of flying.
B for BadmintonIf you’ve been following me for some time, you know that I’m a badminton fanatic. I play 3 times a week!
C for ChipsI’m a big chips monster. I always eat an entire bag in one sitting (regular size, not Costco size!)
D for DogsI love dogs! We’ve always had a dog in our family since I was a kid.
E for EncouragedWhen I read your inspirational stories on Medium, I often feel very encouraged. That’s why I enjoy this platform so much!
F for FoodI love to eat. That’s why I also have to exercise a lot, otherwise, I’d really pack on a ton of pounds!
G for GardeningGardening makes me feel peaceful. I love to harvest fresh veggies!
H for HikingHiking is one of my favorite activities! I love a challenging trail with lots of terrain changes and hills.
I for IcelandYep, it’s Iceland again. I hope you’re not tired of seeing this! The best trip I ever took in my life was to Iceland.
J for JeopardyI like to watch this show sometimes! If I get one or two answers, I’m ecstatic!
K for KyotoI would love to visit Kyoto to see all the lovely temples. It seems so peaceful!
L for LazyBelieve it or not, I’m a lazy person! It sometimes takes a lot of effort to get going on a task.
M for Minimalism I’m a fan of minimalism. I am always decluttering and trying not to buy anything!
N for NgMost people mispronounce my last name. It’s supposed to sound like the “ing” at the end of words like sing-ing, jump-ing. The last part is how you say my last name (Ng is pronounced as -ing).
O for OrangeI don’t like to eat oranges. I’ll eat kiwis instead for my Vitamin C!
P for PetsI love pets. I’ve had dogs, cats, fish, turtles, birds, and a hamster!
Q for QuietI’m normally a very quiet person unless you hit on the right conversation topic!
R for RestaurantI love trying new restaurants!
S for SingingDid you know that I love to sing? I don’t care what it sounds like! Here is one of my failed videos!
T for TravelTravel writing is one of my niches on Medium. I love it!
U for UkeleleI have a ukelele and learned to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I’m a total beginner. And I’ve since forgotten how to play it!
V for Video GamesI used to play a TON of video games! I’m a fan of old games like Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, and the Legend of Zelda!
W for WritingObviously, writing would be on this list! It’s my new passion.
X for X-RayI once had an x-ray taken on my wrist. I almost dislocated it playing badminton. I had pain for a long time, so they needed to scan it to see what was going on inside.
Y for YouTubeI have two failed YouTube channels! One of them made it to 1K subscribers, but in my view hours were as sad as Canada’s internet service.
Z for ZooI haven’t been to a zoo for years. I prefer seeing animals in their natural habitat. Check out this fabulous story from Anne Bonfert, where she shares some breathtaking animal photos!!
I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it! My most challenging letter was A, J, and K! I had to leave this story for several hours because I couldn’t think of anything to match the letters! What was your most challenging letter?
I discovered this prompt by reading Paul Walker‘s story. It was the first time I read about it. Feel free to check out his ABC story here.
