About Me — May More
I love writing. Full stop. Fiction, real life, sexy, romantic, dark, serious — you name it I want to do it
I am May More. That is my pen name but is also very much — me — who I am. Who I was and, who I have become.
Let me explain.
May More existed long before I opened this Medium account last year. And she also existed before my blog was online in 2017. Those of you who have my email address will know that the name on the account is C More, or C May More. And the fact is, that was my name at birth. I just changed the christian name to the middle one, and dropped an o from the surname… So, C May Moore became — May More.
Here’s for the confusing bit: Even though I have a C May Moore birth certificate, that is not actually my REAL name. I was only ever officially C May Moore for the first 9 months of my life. Then I was adopted and received a second birth certificate with my legal name printed on it: The name given by my adopted parents and the one that has been with me ever since.
Bring out May More
I first created an email account using my birth name over fifteen years ago. I needed to use an online site and didn’t want to register with my real name. And so in that moment May More was reborn…
Then, back in 2016 I decided to start a life style blog and had to choose a pen name. It seemed logical to become May More, the blogger.
Writing and Me
I love writing. Full stop. Fiction, real life, sexy, romantic, dark, serious — you name it I want to do it. Apart from that, in the past I have been a computer analyst/programmer, studied nutrition, worked at a drop in centre for people with mental health issues, and remain a Mother, a lover, an author, a friend and of course an individual.
I like to laugh. Drink wine. Eat good food that is cooked from scratch. Make love. Write. Read. And wear my wellies;-)
Me, Blogging and Writing
I started my own blog Sex Matters mid 2016 but didn’t really get to grips with blogging until 2017. I then found myself on a sharp learning curve. Originally I began my site because I wanted to write more and also put across the message that you owe it to yourself and who ever you love to be true to your sexy, sexual needs.
I still write for the same reason but my work has evolved. Just as I have. We have grown together.
Now I find writing about all kinds of life topics liberates me.
Reflecting back on my life heals me.
Writing fiction for my medium publication and on my blog fires me.
And writing about kinky capers with my man energises me.
You will find these topics in my Medium area or on Sex Matters
Community Projects
Over the last year or so I feel I have really flourished project wise.
Tantalizing Tales
As soon as I looked Medium in the eye I knew I wanted to create a publication to bring writers together. I spoke to my friend Posy Churchgate and Tantalizing Tales was born from our joint love of fiction and supporting new writers. Liz Blackx and MrsK are in-house writers and help with editing on an ad hoc basis. All this has meant that we are very proud to have a thriving publication with many other writers onboard. Check it out here and follow us too.
Contact — Tantalizing Tales has its own twitter account TaleTantalizing and you can email us [email protected].
Redemption Magazine for Transgressive Fiction
I am editor :-)
Blogable Club
I am also co-founder and contributor — along with Marie Rebelle & Missy —of the wonderful Blogable Club. It is amazing to be involved with a project where we are all bringing different skills to the table. You can listen to us nattering about how it came about it. The club is a free members site where we share writing and blogging tips and tricks. We have been live for less than a year but I do believe we have already created something special.

May More Books
During the last 18 months I have published two books on Amazon kindle and been lucky enough to have a third taken up by a publisher.
The first, an erotic, slightly taboo series was originally written for my blog called: The Curse. The second was a weird, wild and wonderful project: Seven Days in April. The idea came to me at the start of the lockdown. It is about seven very different people, writing their lockdown experiences for seven days at the beginning of April. Remember at that point the restrictions were new. We did not know what to make of them and what to expect. An interesting read. You can find both of these books here.
Over the past few years I also have been commissioned to write for various online fiction and magazine sites.
Tarot & Relays
I read the tarot cards! Hop over to this page to find out what that is all about and consider if you want me to do a reading especially for you.
And in 2020 I hosted a rather fun mystery fiction relay. Myself and other writers enjoyed it so much that I am hoping to run another soon.
Challenging Times
This last year or so has been a challenge for many different reasons. I think that out of adversity comes opportunity and a chance to really decide who you are, what you want — and where you want to go. Luckily, that was easy for me. I love blogging and writing and supporting a community. Along with others, that is exactly what I have continued to do.
