>✅Life Stories: Learning to Respect Each Other>

I have traveled and lived in many places in America. However, I grew up in Asia and Europe, and I miss real Chinese food and real Italian food. Most places in America do not have authentic dishes from these places. Sorry pizza is much better in Italy, and sorry most Chinese foods do not have sugar in them. My favorite place to live was in Los Angeles because of the diversity of places to eat. Indeed, I loved the fusion of cultures and the creative restaurants. Some Chinese restaurants create food for people from the Middle East and included flat bread, and I would order that bread with my rice. Why not?

✅The last meal of Jayne Mansfield

In 1967, the first place I lived in America was Mississippi, where my Korean mother found a job at the famous night club, Gus Stevens, where Hollywood stars came to sing like Jayne Mansfield, and one night my mother served her kids and her watermelon. However, that night ended in a tragic accident, where Jane was beheaded. This shocked my mother, for she was a big fan.

Just as she was getting use to working there another event shocked my mother even more, for some men walked in wearing white hoods. Quickly, the owner hid my mother. She didn’t know who these men were, for they were looking for black men. Confused, the owner later explained that she was hidden to protect her because she was Asian. Those men didn’t like people who were part of the minority.

Recalling in her mind, my mother had left North Korea to come to America for freedom. She was again deeply shocked, so we quickly moved away to another state.

How was life when you were a kid? I wish the world!

✅Thank you!

Though I have survived cancer twice, my body is still in shock and my immune system is not strong. Still, I am taking a lot of meds. Basically, I am broke from all my medical bills, and I continue to have to go to the ER at times. I am writing a book about cancer. Give what you can, for it pays for my continuing continuing bills.
