About Me
A mother writing from Homer, Alaska

I have worked as a server, a kayak guide, a theatre technician, a grant writer. In my twenties I worked at a domestic violence shelter as an advocate, and later as child forensic interviewer for a Child Advocacy Center. I love our local library and for many years raised funds and was responsible for the majority of adult programming — including coordinating author visits and book clubs.
Living in a small town has often meant taking the job that was in front of me, and I have been fortunate to have had adventurous opportunities. Now, I’m making the turn to follow my own passions, diversions, preoccupations. To see if a life might be made by following my own curiosity and sense of wonder.
I love to read the discoveries other writers are making.
