About Me — Calista Agoha
Creating my ideal life one day at a time

Who am I?
I’m Calista, a writer since forever, a voracious reader, and a compulsive note-taker. These habits are a big part of my life, and I don’t go a day without writing, reading, or taking notes on anything worth taking down.
I’m half-introvert, half-extrovert. Even though my introverted side tends to dominate more than my extroverted side, I still enjoy chit-chatting and being around people every once in a while — as long as there’s no drama involved!
I’m not just a lover of peace, I am peace! And I live by this saying:
A breath of fresh air is a great thing to take and an even better thing to be.
My present and future self are centered around peaceful and intentional living.
Bio
Here’s a rundown:
I’m from the Imo state: an eastern part of Nigeria.
Born and raised in Kano state: a northern part of Nigeria, and lived there until I moved to Kaduna state, still a northern part of Nigeria, to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in English and Literary Studies at Ahmadu Bello University.
After four years of study, the Nigerian government posted me to Ekiti state: a western part of Nigeria, for a one-year mandatory service to the country, typically called NYSC (National Youth Service Corp).
On completing my service to the country, I left for Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, where I worked several jobs, as a guest service agent for a five-star hotel and as a college teacher for three prestigious schools.
I wanted more for my life, so I quit my job, said goodbye to my friends and family in Abuja, and relocated to Lagos, a western part of Nigeria, to pursue a Master's degree in Literature at the University of Lagos.
It was an intensive and rough year of study for me. Starting a new life in a bustling town filled with people constantly in a hurry, school project upon project… juggling a lot at once, but it was all good in the end.
I’m still here in Lagos, Nigeria, living and working, and looking forward to my next relocation — I’m just here for a few more months.
What do I do for a living?
