About Me — Adam Deitsch
A who, what, and why about the author
I’m never a fan of writing my own praise, so I’ll try to keep this short…

Who am I?
I can be called many things [insert old joke about not being late for dinner here], so I’ll just start with the fact that I am a husband and a father. I’m also a first-generation Bachelor of Science (if you’re reading this after May 2021, anyway).
I’m Jewish and proud, so let’s get that one out there too.
What am I doing?
I’ve been studying environmental science for the past few years, and was certified by two different organizations as a climate change speaker in the past year. To prevent any conflict between the content I post and the organizations, I will leave them nameless on this platform.
I watch (probably) more movies than I should, but I tend to try and use movie and comic stories to relate to scientific concepts. While the relations usually aren’t very accurate, they do seem to help me remember things. I’ve also been raising two kids, and doing what I can to move us all forward. I’m also a huge fan of cooking.
In the last few months, I have been applying to graduate schools — four have sent me responses that weren’t quite what I was looking for, and two have not responded yet.
Why am I here?
I created this account because I thought it was an excellent platform to improve some of my writing, communicate some science, and maybe share some recipes. I’ve been wanting to find a blogging platform for a while now, but never had the time (nor did I put the effort in) to make it a reality.
If you’re looking for content including cats, family life, food, and science (and possibly other things too), feel free to give me a follow. I’m also on Twitter at DeitschHaLevi.
Bonus:
Here are some cat pictures.
