About Alishah.
My Introduction

Hi, my name is Alishah Savage and I am an…. Oh damn, wrong introduction! My friends and fam call me Leesh. I am 37 years old and live in Florida. I’m originally from New York though, and I miss it like crazy. I was born on Mischief night and am obsessed with all things that involve the Fall and Halloween. My ethnicity is all mixed up- African American, Italian, Hispanic and Native American. I am a free-spirit with an old soul. I’m introverted, but can be loud if I enjoy you. I’m basically a walking contradiction.
I was a catholic school girl but never believed in the religion. I started dabbling with occult practices at a young age, then found my faith and awakening using neo-spiritual and Buddhist principles. My faith saved my life and set me on a journey of self-love, healing, and self-reflection. Religions and spiritual beliefs from all over the world have always fascinated me and I still enjoy learning about other faiths, even though I know what works for me.
I’m retired from being a wild child, but I currently work in telecommunications and customer service. I’ve received certifications in mental health and co-dependancy counseling and spiritual coaching. Writing has always been my true love and interest and I try to spend as much time improving my writing and content creating. I enjoy being able to connect to people from all over the world and have people enjoy whatever I create, as small as a meme or a meaningful article.
I started reading around 3 years old, and I’ve barely put a book down since. Books were my best friend at times and an escape from my childhood back then. My first favorite author was R. L. Stine. I eventually graduated to Steven King. I also enjoy older Dean Koontz novels, Robert Greene and Steven King’s son, Joe Hill. I guess you can say I like the spooky stuff. That goes for movies too!
I wrote from a young age as well. I used to write poems and acts for plays as a kid, but when I got older, I went towards non-fiction and memoirs. Writing has been the one thing that has remained constant in my life, no matter what I was going through. I suffer from ADHD, which can make writing difficult sometimes, but I love a challenge and I’ll always push through. I may complain about Medium sometimes and not know how everything works yet. But, I am glad it’s here so I can improve my craft and connect with other writers. And of course, READ your work too! I can’t wait to meet and engage with as many of you as I can!
