What the hell are the Packers doing?

Suppose you were married to someone for 8 years. Everything in your marriage seemed to be going well: couple of kids, great home life, careers of both partners productive and assending. You both seem physically, psychologically, emotionally and financially sound — meant for each other.

Still deeply in love!

Suddenly your partner’s parents introduce your soul mate to another prospective mate. Your partner, strongly influenced by his/her parents drops you for the new partner.

You’re crushed.

Then you hear that the parents are trying to get you another — on Match.com.

Isn’t that what the Green Bay Packer management is doing by trading Davante Adams to the Los Vegas Raiders (the divorce)for a first round draft choice (#22 overall) and a second round pick (#53 overall) in the 2022 draft (the Match.com part)

Aaron, you have every right to be hurt, angry, disappointed — pissed.

Rodgers and Adams have hooked up for 622 catches for 7590 yards and have scored 69 touchdowns in their illustrious careers.

Divorced from Adams, Rodges is surrounded by a receiving core of only 7: Randall Cobb,Aiien Lazard, Amari Rogers,Malik Taylor,Juwann Winfree, Chris Blair and Rico Gafford.

Who are these guys?

I’ve actually heard of Cobb and Lazard; combine they don’t make one Adams.

If past is prologue, any receiver, even a high draft pick, in this year’s draft held 4/28–4/30 will have to be in the league 2 or 3 years before he hits his stride.

It could be a rough couple of years ahead for you Aaron. Your dream of a 2nd Super Bowl for Green Bay under your generalship may never be realized.

I hope your alomony of 150.8 million dollars over the next 3 years helps soothe the pain of what may be an acrimonious divorce.
