Walked outside to relieve myself. Feels like freedom. No one around to judge. Just me and nature. Wind howled through the leaves that didn't fall soon to be pushed away by buds. I prefer when the air is silent. In our little valley within a valley, I can bark like a dog, howl like a wolf, hoot like an owl, and hear the echo resound for what seems miles. Hoot like an owl. No, Who just loop pedal Joseph’d into my mind — or my mind just popped it into my brain — White Feather taught me not insane to know not the same — I can see for miles and miles. Freedom. What is freedom? Freedom to pee against the breeze but not freedom to pee on someone else’s freedom. Think about that, jules’s moon goddess says to me.

Moon is full tonight Low grey clouds majestic speed Obscuring vantage See moon speeding across sky Albert’s relativity

Poet’s Notes: These works of other writers figured prominently in my poem:

  1. Jodie Helm

2. Douglas Giles, PhD

Pursuing the phenomenology of human social life, Ortega realizes that he (and each of us) is an “I” who is in a human world and society. We find our authenticity in our individuality, as other existentialists say, but I do not exist in solitude, even though my being and my thoughts my ours and mine alone. I share the world with others.

Five weeks after I published this poem I wrote an essay connecting the dots between those two pieces and others:

3. White Feather (Rebecca Romanelli will need to stand in)

White Feather’s essay has greatly influenced my thinking about feelings and emotions and thoughts and the relationship between them and that there is a difference between our brains (biological organ) and our minds (closer to our souls). This later written (April 18th) essay goes into detail:

Feelings vs emotions vs states of being vs thoughts vs beliefs vs facts vs knowledge present very complex topics because our language has too many words with too many definitions. Moreover, many commenters wrote from language of psychology and thus it was like we were just talking passed each other as I was speaking the language of intuition. Thus, a few days later followed up with a sonnet plus some explanatory notes:

Here’s a list of several of jules - Miz Mindful’s

In Rama I create, with soul energy surging through my body, inspiring me and breathing wind into my sails,
