Clothes Free Travel: A-Z
A-Z Travel Destinations: NATURIST EDITION
70 Countries, over 210 Naked Places over a Period of 30 Years

If you’re daring enough to follow our naked asses around the globe it may well inspire you to find a little village that time has forgotten or a secluded beach on an island that’s barely visible on the map.
I can’t believe I’m doing this! Just what I need… another self-imposed challenge to add to my already frenetic work schedule.
But I’m a big fan of both Adrienne Beaumont and Sam Millchamp here on Globetrotters. Apparently Adrienne was inspired by Sam, and I’m inspired by everyone else who has taken up the mantle as well to realign their travel narratives to the narrow parameters of the alphabet. So many contenders for the B, C, and D places, but things get genuinely tricky when you make your way down to Q an Y!
Especially with the added challenge implications inherent on my list. A-Z Travel Destinations: THE NATURIST EDITION!
[Sound trumpet fanfare here.]
I decided I wasn’t going to launch this project without completing the entire list first, fearing I might get stuck halfway through. I had to get a little creative along the way, but I think I’ve got this.
Where shall we be going on the clothes-free sojourn? Maybe you’re not supposed to give spoilers, but I’m hoping to hook a few readers with responses like…
“Who knew you could go on nakation in Thailand? I’ll be darned!”
We’ll start off in Austria before a quick bounce to Australia. We’ll visit the Canary Islands, swing wide through Spain, France, and Croatia, then make our way back Stateside to a few of our favorites places in the USA. Of course, we have to visit the Caribbean, with stops in Curaçao and Honduras, and Uruguay will get an honorable mention as well. But I think the most exotic destinations will be South Africa and Thailand as it took some serious doing to plan nakations in those distant lands. I also wanted to work Brazil and Hawaii into the mix, but those may have to wait for the second pass.

I can hear what you’re thinking.
“I totally like my clothes and I have absolutely no design of ditching those in Denver, Düsseldorf or Denpasar — thank you very much.”
I get that. No hard feelings on my part. But as I said in my introduction here on Globetrotters, one of the things we’ve enjoyed most about naturist travel is being led off the beaten track, far away from the madding crowd.
Visit a French naturist beach and you’ll likely be hanging (out) with the locals.
Find that secluded resort in Thailand and you’ll likely be hundreds of miles away from the crazy of Bangkok.
Make your way to one of the few naturist destinations in Africa and you’ll find yourself on a makeshift safari along the way where you may actually have to stop for elephants or giraffes crossing the road. At very least, you’ll have springboks turning up for handouts while your grilling at the braii.
In other words, if you’re daring enough to follow our naked asses around the globe it may well inspire you to find a little village that time has forgotten, or a secluded beach on an island barely visible on the map. Naked or not, we think that kind of travel is the absolute best.
I’ll have to figure out the pacing of all this. Maybe I will designate Travel Tuesdays. Twenty-six weeks will take me all the way to the end of May, by which point we should be back on the road and in the air to keep fleshing out the next list.
Maybe that one will be called, “The Meandering Naturist Keeps His Bum Covered for a Change!”
Looking forward to taking this journey with you all.
