Teenage girls may feel anger but should not have to kill.

What is happening in this world that children are killing their parents? Is this something new or has it been going on for years? Perhaps it is happening more or is in the news media more often.

It seems normal for teenagers to become upset at their parents at times. It is not normal for them to kill their mother or father, but it happens. Such an action leaves a family devastated and ruins lives.

A teenage girl in Pennsylvania has been arrested and charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and other charges after she stabbed her mother to death.

Bailey Richards is a writer-reporter for People. She wrote an article titled: “Girl, 13, Charged with Murdering Her Mom Says She Feels ‘Regret, Guilt and Self-Disgust’ After Arrest.”

A 13-year-old girl in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, who was charged with murdering her mother, expressed regret shortly after the fatal stabbing.

Police were called to a home shortly after noon when they found a victim suffering from stab wounds. The mother was pronounced dead at the scene. A young boy was also there and had stab wounds which appeared to be non-life threatening.

The officers did not see knives initially but saw that the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen were padlocked except one which appeared to have been broken. The girl allegedly told officers that she threw the weapon on to a neighbor’s doorstep.

The mother and daughter had apparently been arguing before the mother was stabbed. The girl reportedly said, “I’m the reason my mom is dead. I don’t know how people can do stuff like this and not feel bad about it.”

The girl or other members of the family must have displayed anger issues in the past for the cabinets and drawers to be locked. It is unfortunate that she did not get the help she needed before she resorted to the desperate action of killing her mother during an argument.

It is sad when families are torn apart by discord. It is especially bad if they are broken up because a family member murders one of their own.

Everyone on the earth will die at some point, but being murdered by your own child should not be happening.
