A Writer’s Stories From the Road

Retired, traveling and sharing adventures

My husband and I retired. We sat at home in quarantine for months. Then decided it was time to grab the wheel and hit the road. As we travel, my husband drives our 40-foot beast, and I sit beside him telling stories aloud to keep him awake and often writing to record our experiences. I share our adventures through stories as a way to validate my existence. We are still out here world!

We’re Living a Mini Life in a Big Way

Stories in this installment include Tips and Tricks for living in an RV.

Future installments will include stories about playing golf when traveling, retirement, traveling with a dog, and humorous stories showing that married couples can survive living in a small space if they remember to laugh.

Tips and tricks for RV living

Tips and tricks share what we have learned through living the experience. Since we are beginning our adventures, several articles share how we fit everything we thought we needed into a small space and some share items we discovered what we really needed. Though I write from the point of view of a retiree, the articles provide valuable strategies for everyone on the road for long or short periods of time.

An Endorsement of a Spectacular RV Resource

My Brother Sent Me Sightseeing to a Toxic Lake — RVing in Retirement

This story is meant to be satirical humor. Walmart parking lots offers a great alternative for many who are traveling. I will add an article in the future explaining how to avoid the unpleasant. But this is what happened the first time we parked at Walmart.
