A Visit From Friends
In conversation with past, present and future

My dear friends Past, Present and Future visited me . We chatted for a while and then they asked - “Neha, If given a chance, would you rather revisit your past, stay in present or fast forward to future ?”. It was like a wish granting question for me as I found myself encircled with many emotions that very moment. I was overwhelmed with surprise and excitement, and had few moments of thoughtlessness as well 😃. I finally cleared my mind and was ready to answer them.
My dear friend Past- I’ve closed my life chapter of the past with your experiences, I’m done with them. Although I will surely have ongoing memories of you step by step as life progresses, and as my Present becomes you ; I’ve captured some very precious and cherished memories you blessed me with over the years and I’ll carry them with me to the Future as I glide through.
Thank you, dear Past for all the lessons you tried to teach me and for all the struggles you threw in my path. I’m grateful to have emerged a victorious and fulfilled person with your help.
My dear friend Future- As much as I want to fast-track Present over you, I won’t ; as I don’t want to skip any of my present memories in making. I know you have in store whatever the destiny holds and I believe deeply that it will be positive and adventurous in its own mysterious notes. I will be ready to accept them as is. See you soon, dear Future with all the positivity and love filled experiences I will accumulate on my way to you.
My dear friend Present- I love you as you are irrespective of the highs or lows you place in my path. I want to stay with you as I take my baby steps through life and make the most of what you offer me with each passing day to make my friend , Past’s memories even more wonderful than before and step by step prepare myself to meet my friend Future with all wonderful things it has to unfold 🌈.
