Remembering that there’s more to life than just a deadline

Since college, I have had a proper desk; the dining table was no longer an option when glue and paint appeared in the scenario. It isn’t big, so I try to keep just the essential objects in it.

Nailed to a wall in front of my desk, there’s a corkboard filled with all the stuff that makes my heart happy. I know it’s not original at all, but it has helped through despairing times.

It helps even more now when looking for a job with high hopes but getting zero responses from the other side of the computer. When my eyes look into the board, a glimpse of joy appears.

I remember that I still want to learn French and Portuguese, which I adore, I still have the rollerblading weekends that make me free, I still have a lot of photographs to take…
