Your Value-Based Life & Business. It’s Powerful. It’s Simple.

Are you ready to empower yourself in a really simple, clear, focused way?

Rumi said, The inspiration you seek is already with in you. Be silent. And listen.

Even though many of us feel like we are learning, growing, becoming better, we still feel like there is still some piece of the puzzle missing... some piece of the puzzle that helps each of us step up, tune into our intuition, our inner wisdom, our inner truth.

A simple tool and piece of the puzzle is… to live, and do business, based on our values.

Sounds pretty simple, doesn’t it? Well, it actually is. Say, Yes, to this. Let it be simple.

I use this tool in my own life and use it with my life coaching clients. It amazes me to see the immediate relief, understanding, ease, clarity that clients have when they see how to adopt this tool.

What is does

This tool helps you easily shift into feeling on purpose, more authentic, more in sync and in the flow with who you really are, with the life you really want to live, with the person you really want to be, with the work you really want to do.

This tool helps you tune in to your inner wisdom, your inner power, your inner truth, your inner knowing.

This tool helps you live with more ease, calm, confidence, clarity, and simplicity.

Here’s how it works

Do you know what your values are? Have you taken the time to reflect on and record your values as they relate to your life, business, health, relationships?

To make this piece of the puzzle easy, we have to take the time to clarify them, document them, focus on them, and use them to guide every aspect of our life and business. Every aspect. Every day.

In some ways, life, relationships, and business can feel like we are simply solving problems. We move from solving one problem to the next one. Have you ever felt like that?

Life & Work become easier

When we base every decision and action in our life on our list of core values, our decisions become clear, easy, confident, quick, creative, smooth, efficient, effective. We feel relief at the guidance these core values give us at every step, big or small. We feel confident at the clarity these core values give us, and the tough decisions don’t feel so tough anymore.

We feel delight and joy living and working within our core values. We grow our own self-worth, self-respect, and self-esteem because we are living and working exactly to the values we set out to live. We feel on purpose, authentic, in sync.

We like and respect ourselves when we live our values

When we decide to let go of all the rules that society and culture say we must follow in life, relationships, health, business, and set our own values as the rules to guide our lives and businesses, we empower ourselves to be extraordinary people and extraordinary business owners. And there are lots and lots of customers and clients that would love to do business with your value-based business.

We all know people that live their values. We may not agree with their values, but we admire and respect them for living this way and doing business this way, don’t we?

Action steps

So, what are the steps to energize and guide your life, business, health, and relationships with value-based decisions and actions?

What are the core values of your life?

Make sure these are YOUR values and not those of your family, your tribe, your friends, your groups, your environment, your culture. Make sure they feel authentic. They should make you feel calm, excited, energized, empowered, peaceful, confident, in sync. Use words or phrases that resonate with you and feel authentic to you. Choose 15 values and narrow that down to 5-8.

What are the core values of your business?

They may be the same as those for your life. There are some that will feel more applicable than others. Some will be different. Again, choose 15 values and narrow that down to 5–8.

Use words or phrases

You can simply use the words, or you can turn them into positive affirmations, tag lines, powerful expressions, phrases. Incorporate these words and phrases into sentences to guide your life, health, relationship, and business decisions and actions.

Use powerful questions

Or, you can turn them into powerful questions to help you make decisions and take action. I regularly use this method in my own life and with my clients.

Examples

Two of my key values are simplicity and playfulness. This is how I use them in questions….

Example 1

If something feels like it has become complicated, hard, tough… I ask

How can I simplify this? How can I make this easier? What would that look like? What do I need to do or change to simplify this?

Example 2

If I find myself becoming too serious, stressed… I ask

How can I make this more playful? How would it feel to do this in a playful way? What would that look like? What do I need to do or change to make this more playful?

Make a list

Write out your values in a list, type them up, print them off, post them in your home, on your refrigerator, in your diary, in your phone. Use them to make decisions and take action.

Post your business values on your website, post them in your business, share them with your employees, talk about them in your marketing, put them in your email signature. Use them to make decisions and take action.

Use them to make decisions & take action

Before each decision and each action, you take in your life and business, pause, and use your list of values as guidance. Every day. Every decision. Every action.

Life and business WILL become easier, more joyful, more in sync, more balanced.

Practice, practice, practice.

You will have created a beautiful thing. A beautiful way to live.

A value-based life and business.

It’s simple. It’s powerful.
