A Valuable Possession

Something you wouldn’t want to lose

A big bank account?

A beautiful home?

A fancy car (like my 1962 Corvette, which I drove feverishly, then crashed spectacularly)?

A fantastic collection of stamps, baseball cards, books, thimbles, tea cups, or something else?

I won’t suggest the Cardinal, Theological, moral, or intellectual virtues, because I consider than blessings, not possessions.

But what about a good sense of humor? Perhaps it isn’t your most valuable possession, but I’d say it’s one of my top two or three. It’s one I wouldn’t want to lose — even if no one else in the world enjoyed it as much as I did.
