A Tribute To Dominique Bernard

My dear compatriots, Dominique Bernard and Samuel Patty. In you, we see intelligent teachers who prepare our students for life and the world in which we live.
Islamist radicals who took your lives were never worthy of living in our society, which they despise. Our students must know France, its history, its culture, and values that made this country one of the most successful societies in the world.
For centuries, there were men and women who fought, bled, and perished for this free sovereign nation. My heart goes out to you, your families, your students, other teachers, and the rest of the nation.
We are not going to apologize for our way of life and our values to those who intend to destroy our existence. I declare yes to secularism and other fundamental values that give us the right to be free.
We cannot let losers who claim to do evil in the name of their deity of their understanding dictate how we must live and think. We don’t owe those radical thugs anything.
I stand in solidarity with all teachers of France and others who defend the values of our country. Mohammad M. is a loser who chose to be radicalized. We don’t want this insanity anymore.
I write this poem to you guys, while crying from my heart. I wish I could say, please don’t leave us as the nation cries your names, but you got slain by evil assailants. When one lacks knowledge, one remains in the path of darkness.
Some people are prisoners of beliefs for thousands of years and they refuse to face ideas and beliefs that are stealing their freedom. They’re born, live, and die prisoners of belief systems; missing out on life, modernity, and progressivism.
One history teacher and one French teacher got used to the barbarity of some students and their surroundings who hate our way of life. Fanatic religious bigots may have killed you guys and other free-spirited individuals, but those bigots will never kill our rights and freedoms.
Islamist radicals and other religious bigots will never kill creativity because the freedom of man always prevails. By life or by death, we will keep fighting back and marching. Education is the key, but it must be coupled with solidarity and actions to preserve our values.
