A Tornado Dream

Poetry

This chilling atmosphere feels so real and familiar territory from past dreams Is this another scenario where I have to scheme my way out of the horror that surrounds me The tornado wind I feel answers that question as it consumes this random house I’m in The wind refuses to let go of my body tormenting my mind is its favorite hobby I’ve lost control while seeing the tornado roll and begin to spin me around This is too much to take This dream is hard to shake “Wake up, wake up’’ I demanded of my body this dream feels too real My eyes & brain please set me free from another tornado dream so the mind can be at peace but only if you give the order for me to be released
