A template for Writers / Editors of “Curation Matters”

To current and future Writers / Editors of “Curation Matters”, when writing and submitting or publishing your Stories listing your curated Stories on Medium, please provide the data above.

You can set it out differently to above, but the purpose of this Publication, “Curation Matters” is for readers to, see at a glance, the attributes of a curated Story, which include the Topic curated under, the Date Published, whether the Story was in a Medium Publication at the time of curation, and the Story duration.

All of these factors may contribute toward whether a Story is curated or not.

Here are four templates, of which you can copy and use one for writing a Story listing your curated Stories, for “Curation Matters.” The templates are separated by ********* dividers.

Important

Since curation changed in October 2020, Medium no longer sends emails to writers with the Topic name(s) that their story is “distributed” or curated under. Therefore, when listing your curated stories here, you may just give the Tag names you used. If you want to try to find out the Topic name or names for your curated story, please read the article below.

I will be requiring new Writers / Editors for this Publication, “Curation Matters” from the date of publication of this article about templates (17 October 2019), to submit or publish their Biography in a Story tagged “Biography” and their first Story with up to 10 of their favourite curated Medium Stories, within 4 weeks of joining.

This is reasonable, because if you ask to be a Writer or Editor for “Curation Matters”, I expect that you will be available to put up your first two Stories shortly within joining.

In this way, the Publication can be managed so that writers will be actively contributing content to “Curation Matters.”

Tagging current writers/editors, to read this update, and submit their Bios as soon as they can. Thank you! 😃

Once you have your two initial Stories in this Publication, you can then just publish or submit a Story listing your recent curated Stories, on a Saturday or Sunday, no more often than once a week.

Once a week or a fortnight is suggested for those who are curated often. The time period doesn’t matter, but what is important is making it clear what time-frame that your recent curated Stories span. You can use a calendar month if you prefer.

Curated Stories: Celine Lai, fortnight ending 20 October 2019

Curated Stories: Mary Poppins, 4 weeks ending 27 October 2019

Curated Stories: Willy Wonka, November 2019.
